We have our trip mapped out now. After we leave Myrtle Beach we will go west through South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, Illinois, Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska, and Wyoming. The total mileage will be 2753 and if we drove from 9am to 5pm every day it would take about six days. But we plan to take our time and stop to see some sights along the way. We are giving ourselves plenty of extra time in case we encounter any problems. If we get there early, which we probably will, we'll find a campground either in Yellowstone or near it to wait for May 20 when we can officially enter the employee campground.
Dan had a hitch put on the car so we can attach a rack and take our bikes with us. We hope to use them a lot while we are there. He is taking care of all the maintenance on the RV, and I'm getting everything ready to pack. There are many last minute items, but I have a list and hope to remember everything. It's a challenge to use up food from the refrigerator and freezer and not have too much to fit in the RV.
Those of you who have done it know what I mean.
We are supposed to have Verizon reception at Old Faithful so I plan to keep you posted on our adventures throughout the summer. Along the way we'll do the best that we can.

Counting down - one month to go
We'll be leaving Florida in one month. We have made plans to meet with Donna, Doug and families at Myrtle Beach for the weekend of May 4 and then start west to Wyoming. Since we just had a visit from Dan we won't stop in Ohio this time. We haven't mapped out our specific route yet, but we'll do that soon. This trip will be about half as far as last year when we went to Alaska. Our "to do" list keeps growing, but we should have no trouble completing it and getting on the road on May 3. We're enjoying the Florida summertime weather now because it will be chilly at Yellowstone.
